Hi, my husband Alan and I have just recently been abundantly blessed with the sale of our home in Holiday Park Resort in Lake Country, by our lovely agent and now friend Petrina Koltun. There are so many words that describe Petrina, words like professional,generous,gentle,ambitious,passionate,resourceful,creative, respectful and a wonderful realtor. These words are important when one is looking to sell or purchase a home and believe us you get all of this work ethic when you hire Petrina. But, what we didn’t expect during the time we worked with Petrina was the size of her heart and her true respect and compassion for her clients. She genuinely cares about the people she works with and is always there with a hug and kind word during the very emotional times that can and did occur when selling our home. She pulled us out of a hurricane of negativity from our original Realtor and gently, as only Petrina can do, placed in a cloud of positive and safety and ultimately sold our home. We decided to sell our house and move to Merritt because most of Randy’s family lives in Abbotsford and we found that travelling back and forth between there and Lake Country, especially during the winter months, can be a bit of a heart stopping experience!!  Also, living in Merritt means we are only 2 hours away from the family and can easily drive there for the day.  We hired Petrina because I had seen a lot of her “For Sale Signs” and then very quickly “Sold” signs in the area.  When we contacted her to give us an evaluation on the sale of our house, her enthusiasm, positive remarks and professionalism made up our minds that we had picked the right realtor.  Both myself and Randy had not had great experiences in the past real estate sales we had gone through and Petrina just made it sound so positive and easy.  Petrina told us that she would be able to sell our house in 3-5 days – well, since our last experience had been so negative we really didn’t believe that would happen.  Well it did – 3 days and it was sold, plus the bonus was that it sold for more than we were asking for it!!!  Couldn’t believe it, but boy were we happy!!! We would be happy to recommend Petrina as a realtor to whoever asked.

We chose you to sell our farm and seek out a new home for us due to our first meeting, as you volunteered to invest in us with preparation, finance and skills provided by your team before you had our listing. I first met Petrina as my daughters dance instructor, 13 or so years ago. Over the years I have known Petrina as a caring community member who gives back and extends herself to causes that are important to her.   I have sold and purchased homes with Petrina representing my best interests. We recently were transferred for work from Prince George and Petrina was recommended from our realtor that sold our house.  We had vacationed in Kelowna but had never really looked into living in Kelowna.  We conversed via email quite a bit with Petrina on what we were looking for in a purchase, price, she also asked questions to get a feel for the type of clients we were. We arrived in Kelowna nervous as the last time we purchased our home in Prince George was 25 years ago.  Petrina met up with us and had a list of bookings we were going to look at that day and we were hoping over the course of the weekend we would find something before heading home (no pressure).  She gave us the pros and cons of the areas as well as a feel for travel time to and from work and quality of time, which in the end was advice we took and are very grateful for that now living in our new home. We looked at many, many, many places and Petrina was very patient with us.

We really liked one that we had looked at about half way through the day and Petrina said lets go have a second look so indeed we did.  We decided to put an offer in.  She personally went to the house with the sellers realtor to let them know about us and to present the offer to them.  We went for dinner on pins and needles.  After many phone calls back and forth during dinner they accepted our offer.  She came to the restaurant to meet up with us and congratulate us even after spending a tiring day and long evening with us. We took her advice to heart on all the listings we looked at and love our new home which is 10 minutes from work giving us more beach time.

We feel very valued as a customer of hers and we walked away feeling like we had been friends for years.

Buying or selling a home can be a challenging and stressful journey.  My husband Jack and I have been truly blessed to have Petrina working by our side to help us live out our dreams when it comes to our home.Petrina has always gone out of her way to ensure our needs are met or exceeded, that we are making informed decisions and that we end up with a home that warms our hearts, not just a house. And to top it off, she always adds is that special, unique something that is Petrina just when you need it. To best describe what that means I wanted to share a little story.

While living in Lake Country, we had been tossing around the idea of moving to a lake view property. One day while out driving around, we saw someone putting up a for sale sign. I called Petrina the very next day and she arranged for me to see the house on my lunch hour. She picked me up at work, whisked me over to the property, provided me with a healthy on the go lunch, as she knew I had to head straight  back to work, showed me through the property and provided me with a lot of insightful information about the home – all with less than 4 hours notice!

I remember how amazed I was with her level of service and thoughtfulness. But what was even more amazing was that was not a onetime experience with Petrina. We have received that fabulous attention to detail, thoughtfulness and caring through the purchase and sale of two homes over the past 10 years.

We have never lost touch with Petrina, consider her a part of our family and think of her as our own “ray of sunshine”.

My husband and I decided to list our place to buy something bigger and after about a year with no success and frustration with the realtor we were using, we called Petrina. It was definitely the best thing we ever did. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and truly had our best interest at heart. Within a few months she had our place sold. We were very impressed she truly exceeded our expectations. We went though her to buy our place as well, and we were just as impressed. She was always available for our questions, was always professional, and always cared about how we were feeling through out the whole process, which for me made the whole experience really amazing and less stressful.
